Sent to Car Experts February 21 05:22 AM

I have a 2000 Dodge Intrepid, 100,000 miles, this morning my car stalled out 4 times as I was coming into work after I let off the gas at stop lights, etc, it restarted up but sputtered a little bit and the engine light came on..what could be the problem?

You need to have the codes read to know your next step. AutoZone will do this for free. Get the code numbers and we'll be able to help with that info.

Okay, I misunderstood. The engine light came on while it was running.

At Autozone he told me that it was a fuel sensor error showing up. So, I had no choice last night but to take it to the dealer (I know, sock it to me and they will as usual)since he couldn't fix it because he thought the whole plate would have to be changed and not the individual sensors. Autozone did it for free but then of course after I told the people at Dodge what was found they still insisted on doing another diagnostic which is going to cost me $72.00 just to do that, not counting what they will have to do. I will get the codes from them afterwards and send them to you. Sorry for misunderstanding again.
