I have an 99 Nissian Altima that the repair shop told me I need an Engine Valve replacement that cost me $850 yesterday. On my way to work this morning "something" fell out from under the car and my car started smoking really bad. I called the repair shop and they stated they will tow it back to the shop....I have already spent hundreds of dollars on a rent a car that is not covered by my insurance company nor do I feel I need to pay the repair service any more fees due to he told me my car was fixed....any advice?
I would wait until the shop has a chance to inspect the vehicle and determine the problem before you get too upset at this point.
If this problem is related to the work that was performed and this is a reputable shop they should correct the problem at no cost to you.
If this shop denies responsibility for this latest problem and you still feel that they should assume liability you will most likely have to get a second opinion from another shop as to the cause of the problem in order to be successful in any type of legal action.
Once the shop has rechecked the vehicle and informed you of what occurred and their liability if any we would be in a better position to advise you. As it stands right now there just isn’t enough information for us to be of much help.
