Question

engine

Sent to Car Experts December 19, 2004 10:53 a.m.

I got a 1990 Geo Storm. It starts and runs fine when it is cold, but as soon as it warms up it just stops running. All the lights and accessories still stay on but the car just stops running and will not restart. I wait until the car is cold again and it starts just fine. I can hear the fuel pump come on so I think it must be a sensor or something. I changed the coil, distributor cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires, and the fuel pump relay. Any idea what is wrong?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Do you have a check engine light on? If so you have to have the car scanned, Autozone does this free.

You will probably find you need an engine temp sensor. But have it scanned rather than guess.
