For about the past year, I have noticed a difference when accelerating between 1st and 2nd gear, there is a large shift that is noticable when riding in the car. (my car is automatic). Recently, I had the fuel injection flushed (Monday), and yesterday my car started making a loud grinding/revving noise when I would try to accelerate. Today, on my way home, I was in stop & go traffic, and my car stopped accelerating. The engine would get up to 3,000-4,000 RPM's, but the car would not move, at all. I was in drive... So, I decided to turn the car off, let it rest for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on. There were no problems restarting. Sometimes the car would start to accelerate again at a very slow powerless rate, and sometimes I would have to restart it about 3 times before it woudl go, at all. Please help, if you could identify what could be the problem, and how much it would cost to fix. (I drive a ford, 2000, zx2).
