I’m having car problems. I have a 94 Metro and the idles at 2 grand until it’s warmed up it fluctuates between 1.5 and2 grand every time you engage the clutch and after about a minute it levels of at 2 grand again. I've checked all the obvious things it, I’ve checked for vacuum leaks using WD40, their are no plugged injectors, and fuel flow is constant and there is no trouble light coming on. Any Ideas?

sure...make sure the accelerating cable is not stuck , vacum are not brocken or unconected..open the hood and listen for air leaks...than if it is a electronic problem..have the codes read and see if it gives you a start

if the throttle cable cant be adjusted...a high rpm?...looking at the web page i gave you is got some electronic parts in there that can mess up the rpm...but also it maay be a bad intake gasket that lets air going in..not sure what it is..how did it started anyway...did you have work don on it or just like that?

Response to FeedMySheep's Post: I know it’s not a gasket or vacuum leak if you know any thing about vacuum when you spray it with wd40 it will affect the engines rpm making it go up or down. I know it has electronic parts that can affect the idle process. I can’t afford to take it in and have the car hooked up and analyzed that’s why I’m trying to narrow down the problem if you can help I would gladly pay you but I need more than a generic answer.
