rearfacing infant seat installation
Sent to Car Experts September 20 03:43 PM

We recently leased a 2006 Toyota Sienna. Our reason for getting a van was because we are expecting and felt this is a top of the line family vechicle. We were expecting twins and they arrived into the world 11 weeks early. We recently went to install the car seats into our new van and was told that to accomodate the rear facing infant seats we would have to have bolts installed to a tune of approximately 400-500 dollars. This we were also told may affect the terms of our lease. We were shocked to hear any of this information. Apparently there is a bolt installed but that is only for front facing seats.
The infant must be in a rear facing car seat until they reach a weight of 30 lbs.
Can you please let us know as soon as possible how correct all of this information is. We are truly frustrated about this whole situation. Thanking you in advance for all your trouble.

Sincerely

Theresa Crown
