SIt's hard to move the shift lever from Park to Neuteral to reverse, drive, ect. The car is running fine in all other respects...changes gear without "thud" or "thump". All fluid levels are good.
Its as though the steering column has "swollen" and the collar of the shifter is difficult to move. (Obviously, I am NOT WELL VERSED IN AUTO MECHANICS, otherwise my description would be more poignent.

Ok on your vehicle they use a shift cable. It sounds like the cable is worn out.The way to isolate if it's the shifter or the cable is go under the dash (this requires pulling a couple of panels) and unhook the cable from the shifter.Have a good day!
