How do you replace the right rear view mirror on a ...

How do you replace the right rear view mirror on a ford explorer 2005? There doesn't appear to be a way to attach the mirror [suction cups, etc. Irecently purchased the glass from for. They provided no help or suggestions.

can;t find any info in chilton or haynes.

To be correct here,do you have the mirrior and on the back of the mirror(where it attachs to the winshield is there a metal block on it?

Reply to GENE's Post: The glass portion of the mirror was stolen. The metal part of the mirror which attaches to the car is in tact.

All I haveis the glass replacement for the mirror.

P.S. I tried what you suggested, but it didn't work. I think that the dealer gave me the wrong replacement. I'll check Monday and get back to you
