Hello,

I would start by having the wheel bearing checked. Then I would check the axle. You can raise the front of the car and see if there is any play in the wheel to check the wheel bearing. If you have play any way you move the tire it is probably the wheel bearing. If you have play back and forth it may be a tie rod end. Now the axle, look at the axle boots and see if they are torn. If they are there may be dirt in them and wore out.

Hope this Helps.....PLEASE HELP

Thank You, Dean

Dear Dean,

Thank you for replying so quickly. I'll have to get the car to a garage, and ask them to do what you suggested. Unfortunately, I'm afraid you're probably right. I had to replace all 4 tires (tire rot) a month ago, and they were balanced & aligned, etc/, but one of the gentlemen said that the rear brakes looked really bad - rusted and corroded (I think he said the rotors.).

Hello,

Yea your back brakes will cause this if they are metal to metal. Don't get to scared the price of rotors has come down. They shouldn't be real expensive.

Thanks, Dean
