Question

1999 toyota rav 4 starting problems

Sent to Car Experts September 12, 2006 10:54 a.m.

hi there.

My 1999 toyota Rav-4 a couple a weeks ago would have trouble starting. when I would put the key in the ignition it was just turn a make a click sound. After trying several times it was eventually start. I took my car to a place and they tested my battery and it was dead so I bought a brand new one and it has been fine for the last two weeks until today it did the same thing. I put key in ignition and it clicked and wouldn't start. The music and lights come on so I don't think its the battery. I am wondering if maybe its the alternator, or fuel pump. Also do you think it might be that the cables that are connected to the battery they are real Co- routed and maybe its not catching a spark or something. please let me know thanks.
