Well it was just idea. Depending on the way the fans are wired will determine if the fans will stay on when the car is turned off.

What is the indication that the engine is overheating? Is the gauge hot? Is there a coolant light coming on? How do u know the engine is overheating?

Reply to amedee's Post: if there is a blown gasket, can i just changed for a new one or need to do something else? is there any way to know whish head gasket is damaged? if the heads were damaged shouldn't the engine be missfiring? because it never missfires.thank you.

Changed for a new one? Please explain.

It depends on the sevarity of the blown headgasket. If there is coolant leaking alot in the cylinder than it is possible to have a missfire. But that is not always the case, it can run just fine for a long time too.

The head gasket is just an idea! Do not replace the head gaskest if they are not blown. The only true test for this is check for emissions in the radiator. This is done with an emission sniffer. Any shop that does emissions should be able to do this test for u!

If the head gaskets are blown, it is highly rec to send the head out and get recefriced and pressure checked. But this is totaly up to u. When the head comes off, u can look closely for cracks and hot spots that could cause a probem in the future. But again, dont bother to replace the headgaskets if it passes the test!
