I have a 1994 ford escort. I took it to a mechanic, because it stalled in traffic and was making wierd sounds. After 2 days in the shop, they replace the serpentine belt and release the car. Less than 4 hours and 20 miles later, the car stalls on me and it is towed back to them.

My problem is severe; the ac compressor seized and the repairs will be 1700. How do we go from a serpentine belt to an ac compressor?
