my car will not start sometimes it just clicks and clicks ...

my car will not start sometimes it just clicks and clicks then i go back like hours later and it will start and my dash lights are clicking on and off when it will start i wont drive it and then i will cut it off and come back later and it doesnot restart I have a 95 buick regal 3.8 6 cyclinder

nothing yet trying to have it tested but it will only start sometimes and at those its not convenient
