I have a 2000 Chevrolet Lumina 3.1, probably the best car I ever owned. I have a problem with the shifting in the transmission. Everything was fine until I changed the tranny filter about 25000 miles ago. It starts out driving just fine then starts shifting really hard into each gear. I had it looked at & they said the computor needed to be reflashed. I took it to the dealer & nothing, so I just keep driving it. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? Thanks.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

What is happening is during a shift-the computer sees a error in shift timimng or even pressure controls and defaults to high line pressure(hard shifts) to keep from burning it self up.Was the fluid dark when you changed it?Has anybody checked for codes or looked at the trans adapts pressures in the computer.Frank

Thanks Frank, no the fluid was no even dirty. I wish I hadn't changed it. I had a dealer check but I don't think they knew what they were doing. After it sets for a while its fine or overnight, then after a few miles it starts the hard shifting. Where or what should I do?
