Does a 2006 Honda Civic LX Sedan, have RCA hookups in its stock factory radio? The type you need for an amplifier. If not is there a way to make a conversion and make an amplifier work on a stock radio?

There is no RCA hookups on the 2006 stock audio unit. You can add a Hi/low convertor to the regular radio harness and then add an amp but it's not as good sound quality. I've done it before and I can't tell but purist think it's a reduction in sound quality. I happen to like the stock look with a hi/low convertor because thiefs seem to pass up my stocker unit.

Here's a quick link that explains them and most any stereo shops have them in stock. I don't know where you live but "Fry's electronics" has them the cheapest near me.

Not with the stock audio unit sorry. I asked a few other guys in my dealership that are car audio crazy and they suggest replacing the stock audio unit if you want to get a good sound from the stuff you're running.

Reply to Kyle Northrop's Post: Okay I am going to use the RCA adapter the only thing is that I am not sure how to wire it. I don't know the wire color codes for my radio. Is there anyway you can give me a link or a diagram of the wirering code? I know I need a Left +/- & Right +/- but I cannot figure witch color wires to hook into and there is no diagram on the radio itself. Thanks.

Reply to Kyle Northrop's Post: The adapter has instructions to splice into a Right +/- and a Left +/- speaker wire which is fine only I don't know which wires those are on my car none of them are labeled and i cannot find a diagram anywhere. Can you get me the diagram or at least the color code for the wires coming from my stereo (the wire in the speaker wiring harness)?
