I have 1996 Plymout Voyager SE and is having problems ...

I have 1996 Plymout Voyager SE and is having problems during shifting gears. Car runs smoothly as long as you are going at a consistent speed. Whenver you raise acceleration, chaging gears feels it keeps jumping back and forth.
Is this transmission problem or any computer related problem. The problem has been there for a long time.
