I HAVE A 1993 BMW 325 AUTOMATIC. A LIGHT APPEARS ON MY DASH THAT LOKS LIKE A GEAR WITH A EXPLANATION MARK IN THE MIDDLE OF IT.WHEN THE LIGHT APPEAR MY CAR LOSE POWER. ONCE I STOP AND RESTART THE CAR THE POWER RETURNS AND THE LIGHTS GOERS OUT ONLY TO RETURN. I WAS TOLD TO REPLACE MY FORCE REGULATOR IN THE TRANSMISION. IT IS ALSO CAL A PRESSURE REGULATOR. WOULD THIS SOLVE MY PROBLEM.

that is the transmission light, that mean that
it stored a fault. it all depends what fault
the transmission computer stored.
