engin problems with razor convertor generator

nissan pathfinder 2003 i added a vortex generator in the air pipe and the car is now hesitating. precisionpowerparts.com sells this. as a fuel saver add on. im concerned ive screwed up my car. any ideas why the car is now missing. it worked for about a day. and now ive removed the generator and the car is still hessitating.
