Question

Which Car to Keep

Sent to Car Experts August 03, 2006 8:06 a.m.

We want to keep one of our two cars and can't decide which. Both cars are 2001 models with approx. 130K miles. Mine is a Saab 95. My husband's is an Audi A6.    My husband will be out of the countery for a year, so we only need one car while he is away. I love my Saab and "know it" well. The Audi has 4-wheel drive and on paper is worth more, and I know I can get used to it.
The question is, is the Audi a sufficiently superior car for me to give up my comfortable Saab and get used to the Audi?

Optional Information:
2001 Audi A6

These are both very good cars. Keeping either one would be a good choice. Being both 2001 model year vehicles you really shouldn't have many problems. There are really only two things that I would take into consideration. A few years down the road when problems do start to occur, I have noticed that Saab parts are a little cheaper and a little easier to get then some Audi parts. So in the future maintenance costs could be a factor. The other consideration depends on where you live. If you live where it snows and 4-wheel drive is necessary then the Audi would be a keeper. I would consider these two points before making a final decision. Let me know if you have any other questions.
