car stalls while driving

1994 vw jetta III 2.0l stalls while driving about 10 min. starts up and stalls again after driving a few miles.doesn’t seem to stall while idleing just when driving.could this be a clogged fuel filter or bad fuel pump? or some sort of electrical or sensor problem?please help me out I bought the car used and don’t know much about volkswagons..appreaciate any help
