car heating up

i have a 1986 corvette it does not get ran in the winter so it sits a little bit it started heating up so i replaced the radiator which was semi plugged after new radiator was in i noticed water pump was leaking a little so i replaced water pump what it does now is when its at an idel it will cool down but when you drive it it heats up a block test was performed that did not show bad head gasket also it has an eletric fan on it which is operating fine i do notice i do not get no heat from the heater

Relist: I still need help.
there is heat coming out of the heaterthe car heats up when driving or reving up it cools down when its at an idle ? no coolant in oil or no oil in coolent block test performed that showed no bad head gasket

Hello, have you checked or replaced the thermostat? If it`s not opening all the way, it may have enough flow at idle, but not at higher rpm`s. you may want to try removing the thermostat and see if it still heats up.

Reply to Duane's Post: yes replaced with new thrmastat that was one of the first thigs i did heats up with thremastat out it cools down at an idle but when your going is when it heats up
