I have a 89 Porshe Carrera. In the past two days whenever I start it a horrible rotten egg smell kicks in. Not running = no smell. Engine running = bad smell.

Looked to see if any food was rotting inside... nope.

Hello,
Take a look at your battery. See if it is swelled. When you are starting the car it draws deeply on the battery and if the battery is bad you can get a horid rotten egg smell. Be careful checking this. When a bttery gets to this point it can blow up. The other thing that can cause a rotten egg smell is the catalatic converter. Check at your tail pipe and see if the odar is coming from there. Also check to see if you have flow out the tailpipe. Just put your hand close to the tailpipe and see if you feel the exhaust blowing out.
