What is trac off mean

my toyota camry is showing sign tarc off. I want to know what does trac off mean? Is my car need service for this sign?

I've had a bit of a delve and apparently the traction control on your car is automatic. It switches itself on and off as needed, say you wheel spin for instance, the traction control will kick in and attempt to control the spin.
