My car vibrates when i drive between 50-75 mph , and my check engine ligh t has come on. i drive a 2000 honda civic

Greetings! For the shake I would rec to check all the tires for a belt seperation. A slight seperation will cause this. Also it would be a good idea to get the tire balaced. As far as the check engine light, It comes on for emission reasons only. There could be several reasons that could cause this. Do u know the code?

Reply to amedee's Post: No I don't know the code. i haven't got it in the shop yet. So the car vibrating is coming from the tires not being balanced, and not a transmission issue? Several months ago, i could not get thhe gear out of park, the mechanic said it was beacause the fuse was bad in the horn, and that's why i had to manually release it.

Well if u can get it out of park now, your doing just fine. Its not the same issue. I see problem like this all the time. 9 times out of 10 it is somthing simple rather than a major affair like a transmission problem. I would check the basics first before u spend a lot of money on transmission repairs.
