What can some of the problems be with a car if engine code 0304 & 0303 come up I know the engine is misfiring but what else could it be?

What make, model, year, and engine is the vehicle you are working on? Also, are these codes preceded by a P, or by some other letter? P series codes originate in the powertrain control module, codes originating in other modules start with different letters, depending on the module...
