I'm trying to get on the same page. Your brakes are working fine, but when you accelerate after hitting the brakes there is no power?

Reply to BOBBY's Post: yes. when i press on the brakes when i'm running.. the car slowly stops and the brake lights would turn on, the battery light would turn on and the oil light would turn on and i can't move the car.

the check engine light has been on for a while too.

Is the car drivable at this time? If so, you should go by your local parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. If you can do this let me know.
