I have a 1990 Toyota Pick Up 164,000miles. In one day it became diffficult to shift into gear and would grind trying to get into reverse, but would also act completely normal. Then I pulled up to a stop sign and the clutch pedal was complete mush and would not go into gear. I took it to the auto shop and they say I need a whole new clutch. Obviously its a old car with lots of miles. But does the clutch really go that fast?
