how do diagnos a fan that does not run to help cool the engine

my car is running hot. the fan is not working at all to help cool the engine

Already Tried:
checking fuses/ doing physical-visual inspection

Ok lets start from the fan,disconnect the connector at the fan.Turn the a/c on and the key to the run position useing a test light,check for power at the connector.If you have power at the connector then the fan motor is bad.If you don,t have power at the connector then the most likely cause is the fan relay.However there are other things to check,does the service engine soon light come on?If it does you will need to pull the codes.You can do this at any auto zone or advance auto parts store at no charge to you, If the service engine soon light is on.This will tell you if there are any codes related to your fan cooling problem.I hope this helps,please click accept.or if you need further assistance just get back with me
