sluggish take off

Hello,
My car is a little sluggish at take off but quickly gains full power. What can be the possible reason for that? How much would it cost me to fix that problem?

If you place it manually in 1st gear, before take off, will it accelerate correctly? Or is it still sluggish?

If not at what speed does it obtain full power or feel correct?
