New clutch

I have a 1992 toyota corolla 16 valve 4 door and I just had someone put a new clutch set in it. I don't know what happened but when the car is off it goes into gear, but when you turn the car on it doesn't go into gear at all now could they have done something wrong. I mean the car starts and everything but it doesn't catch gear.   Can you help me solve this situation?
