What would cause a car to not start only on Hot days? If the car has been running on a cool day, it will operate as expected. However, on a hot day, if the car has been running, and you turn it off, when I turn the key, I only hear a "click" sound. This lasts anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours, but eventually, the car will start again. any thoughts?

I would replace the battery cables or at the very least do a voltage drop test on the cables during the failure. You need a voltmeter to perform a voltage drop test.Place the meter selector to dc volts. Then take one meter lead and place it on the battery positive post and take the other lead and place it on the big post at the starter.Attempt to start the engine and note the voltage reading. Now take the meter and place one lead on the negative battery post and the other lead on the engine on a clean metal component like the intake manifold.Attempt to start the engine and note the voltage reading.Any reading over .3 volts means the cable is bad. That's point three volts not three volts just so i'm being clear on this.
