At this miliage there really arn't any common malfunctions. First, I believe the vehcile is still under manufacturer warranty so it will need to be checked out by the dealer. But first, to make sure the anti-theft isn't malfunctioning try locking and unlocking the driver door and than starting the engine, if this cures it the anti-theft may have somehow armed. If the vehicle ran out of fuel, this is the symptom in some cases until the engine is primed from cranking and than eventually runs. In a case like this the dealer can scan the engine's computer and it will give them a diagnostic path to use to locate the problem. Also, try using a different ignition key to start it. The key holds anti-theft information and if it doesn't match the computer's preset coding it will disable operation.
Thanks,
-Rip
