I am working on a 1992 Ply. Lazor. 1.8 liter automatic. VIN# 4P3CS34T2NE115544.
I recently replaced the engine and trans. in this car, I was carefull to match the VIN# with the engine and trans. When I was finished installing them I took the car for a ride and I was please how it shifted up threw the gears and down threw the gears. I parked the car to put the hood back on and went to take it for a 2nd ride and it was stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear, just like the old trans. was. It sounds like it is electrical. What can I do to test or check at my house before I take it to a transmission shop? Or maybe you have a idea what the problem might be? Thank You
