my wife was in a accident .the car was 3 weeks old with 1,600 miles .mitsu galant .value $20500 sticker price . my ins.comp. said there was $14,500 worth of damage .i dont feel the car is safe .i wish it was a total lost . i live in n.j. i dont know what to do . i have gap ins. how much damage would it have to be for it to be total lost .ithink my ins comp. is trying to save a couple of 1000 at the risk of my family .thank you progressive ins company .
