i own a 525i 1992 and yesterday, after parking for approximately 24 minutes i returned to the car and turn the key and got absolutely no response. the battery showed signs that it was in good condition and all the accessories worked, b ut it would not engage the starter. so i chose to try a jump from a friend and it fired up as if nothing was ever wrong. 40 minutes later, when i got ready to depart again, i recieved a message stating that the trans control see manual. the transmission would not start in 1st gear however it would start in 2nd and 3rd.(it's an automatic by the way. what is causing this?
