While driving to work this morning my car's oil light ...

While driving to work this morning my car's oil light came on when I went around a corner. The next thing I noticed is that it was making a rattling noise while I was on the highway. It only does it when I press on the gas and it was not losing power or running badly. When I got to work and turned it off it had a strange oil smell to it. Do you have any ideas?
