I have a 1989 300 sel with 124,000 miles on that I bought ...

I have a 1989 300 sel with 124,000 miles on that I bought about 8 months ago. From the day I bought it, it never shifted into 4th gear. I hadn't realized that it had a 4 speed transmission. The car seems to have been well taken care of, it's really clean inside and out. Any sugestions?
