I have a 1987 Olds Calais, and after I run it for a long time at high speeds and then come into the city's start/stop enviorment - the fuel pump fuse blows. When I immediately put another fuse in, it blows upon ignition. After about 30-60 minutes, I install another fuse and the car starts with no problem, runs fine until I run it hard again. Would it be a safe assumption to say that the fuel pump is not running up to par, pushing to hard to send fuel to the engine, increasing it's amp draw, and then blowing the fuse?
