The oil pressure indicator light comes on when my car has been running for more than 20 minutes and I have to idle at a red light. As soon as I touch the gas & get the RPMs over 500 the light immediately goes out. The light doesn't come on when the car is cold or when running at normal driving RPMs. The oil level is full, the car does not leak oil, and the oil has been changed (10w30) twice in the past 5 weeks. Would high mileage oil help ? What is the recommendation of an expert ? The car is a '99 Chrysler Sebring Convertible with approx. 100k miles.
