2000 Ford Taurus
Sent to Car Experts March 07 11:40 AM

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus that has a shaking problem. I have owned this car for about three years now and have had this problem on and off more on than off. I got rid of the problem for a while when I had one of the wheel berings replaced. Not long after that inspection was due and I needed a tyerod replaced. I know they did not balance the tires when that was replaced. Another thing that was told to me was that one of the strut's were slightly bent. What it does is really kind of weird to me, at 60 mph to 65 mph it shakes real bad at 70 and 75 it mellows out a little. If I keep it at 70 - 75 the shaking goes in and out keeping a rythmn. My husband had taken the back tire off to check the brakes, with the wheel off he turned the hub with his hand and in a certain spot it would rub or kind of stick. Please help as you can tell I have a lot of people telling me the simplest solutions but I can not afford to take it to the shop and have all these things done and not really know if one is really the problem. What I have found taking it to a shop they drive it one time and give me an answer like your rotars are warped which was not the case. That is one of the examples of bad information I have gotten.
