I own a 2002 Ford Focus Wagon SE and have had a problem intermittently with the battery light coming on. It didn't seem to have any adverse affects until more recently. Near the end of a 90 miles drive during which the battery light appeared more than usual, the interior dash light, radio, etc., shut down. Then, about two miles from home, our headlights dimmed. My husband immediately replaced the battery, and the next day I took the car into the dealership. They checked the charging system, etc., and found a bad wire plug on the alternator. For three weeks, things were just fine. Yesterday, the light started coming on again and the car stalled at stop lights on two occasions. I took it back into the dealer and they tightened the wire plug, cleaned the contact points (?) and sent me on my way. Hours later the light came on again and the car stalled again. It happened again this morning on my way into work. Any ideas what the problem might be? I'm taking it back to the dealer tomorrow morning. Thank you. -Kathy

check the wires coming out of the alternator it sounds like it's grounding out and not charging the battery properly also make sure your alternator fuse is not blown
