I have a 1996 4-cyl Camry witholy 51,000 miles on it. I have only recently acquired this car and have not gotten use to its "personality" as yet. The problem I have is when the car is fully warmed up and idling in gear, it vibrates through the steering column and seat back. When the car is shifted to neutral, it is smooth as glass. I have taken it to Toyota and the engine checks out perfectly, the motor mounts are slighty worn, but not in need of replacing according to Toyota. They tell me that this just normal this this model year, but I have a problem believing that the car originally came this way. Any ideas?
