I have a Chevey Cavaleir 2.2L 1996yr., manual transmission. When driving the car it will heat up, but when you accerate fast the temperature will drop to cold and the fan will stay on, the check ingine light will also stay on. When speeding up and having the rpms high it gives off a sulffer smell, what could this be?

Optional Information:

It sounds like the cooling system is air bound. Try running the car at idle with radiator cap off to bleed the air out. Keep filling it as the level drops. Watch for what looks like a small whirlpool in the fill tube if you don't see it that means the water pump is not circulating the coolant. At that point replace the water pump.
