Washer Solvent Container Replacement
Removal Procedure
- Remove the cross brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Sheet Metal Diagonal in Body Front End.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the washer pump.
- Disconnect the washer hose from the washer pump.

- Remove the screw.
- Remove the two retainers and the washer solvent container.

Installation Procedure
- Install the washer solvent container with two retainers.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screw.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 5 N·m (44 lb in)

- Connect the washer hose to the washer pump.
- Connect the electrical connector to the washer pump.
- Install the cross brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Sheet Metal Diagonal in Body Front End.
Battery Replacement
Removal Procedure
- Remove the battery hold-down retainer. Refer to Battery Hold Down Retainer Replacement .
- Disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery.
Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40° during battery removal.
- Remove the battery.
Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40° during battery insulator removal.
- Remove the battery insulator from the battery.
Caution: Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

Installation Procedure
- Install the battery insulator to the battery.
Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40° during battery installation.
- Install the battery.

Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Connect the positive battery cable to the battery.
Tighten
Tighten the positive battery terminal bolt to 15 N·m (11 lb ft). - Install the battery hold-down retainer. Refer to Battery Hold Down Retainer Replacement .
