Question

air bags

Got a 2005 Buick LaCross ,Has Cloth Seat s Had Plastic Seat covers made for it. But now when the wife rides in the passenger seat the air bag indcater flips back and forth. Can I unplug the pressure switch in the seat or jump it out when she is in the car?
Any one over 200 lbs the air bag is on all the time. Like it should work.

Dealer said to get rid of the seat covers. But can i bypass the switch?

No, that would be against the law.

The computer would pick up on anything like that anyway.

Can you Find me a wiring diagram for my air bags so i can see how its set up . Its not safe for my wife to be unprotected with no air bag.

No, the car is too new and GM has not released them to the public yet.

By passing the sensor would set a code in the air bag module and cause it to disable the system anyway.

You really need to remove the seat cover as the dealer suggested.

Removal is not an option.Who many wire senser do they use and is it using Multiplexing? or just set resitance.
Being An ASE Master Certifed Truck Tech I Need Your Expertess with this problem. The only option is to Rip out the Interior And install all leather$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Who makes the Switch is it adjustable Or Can i Buy and aftermarket on /off switch like the option for the suv's that are Dash mounted.
