WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE ALTERNATOR GOES OUT

WHEN I TRY AND CRANK MY CAR UP IT TURNS LIKE IT WANTS TO START BUT IT DOESN'T FIRE UP ND ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME THAT ITS MY ALTERNATOR. ARE THEY RIGHT?

If the engine is turning over (starter operating normally), then the alternator is NOT the cause of the failure to start. The job of the alternator is to charge the battery after the engine is running; it plays no role in starting.
