Question

my car battery needed to be jumped the aaa person poured ...

my car battery needed to be jumped. the AAA person poured what looked like water on the corrosion and banged on the terminal then he attached one of his devices to jump it. the car started but on the way home all the inside lights on the dash kept flashing on and off (brake,radio, airbag, battery, mileage) , the radio went off and on, etc.what happened?Optional Information: 2002 Jeep Liberty 6 cyl Already Tried: Nothing further till morning. Just want an idea before I bring it in.

It sounds like your battery cables are corroded, causing a bad connection. I see no reason to bang on anything in that situation. all that needed to be done is clean the cable ends and check the battery. you probobly have a bad battery. That is why the terminals where corroded in the fist place. When you get it to the shop I would also check the altonator.

Thanks. The AAA fellow check the altonator and said it was charging fine. I'll have the battery checked. Appreciate your help.
