i have a honda civic lx with auto trans the car will

I have a 1991 Honda Civic LX with auto trans. The car will intermittently quit running while driving. The car will usually start right away if the key is removed from the ignition and then reinserted.

basic electronic checks, sparks plugs, wiring, battery.

this car doesn't even have a distributor.......it has electronic ignition. shaking the wiring harnesses doesn't seem too logical as it would hardly isolate the problem (and might break something) and most of the harnesses are strapped in so tightly you can't shake them. Main relay could be the issue, however the car will start usually upon REMOVING the key and re-inserting it. Hardly enough time for the main relay to cool off, plus the car might drive for miles or even days w/o exhibiting the problem. I read another post indicating the ignition switch might be the problem.....trying to confirm that as a possible solution.
