If people are calling you for overdue bills you are not going to geta loan especially without a job as a source of income. The banks will know about the creditors calling because you get reported to the credit bureau for being late and for how late you are. They can't take your car to satisfy another bill you owe on unless you used it for collateral for a loan you took out previously. If it was used as collateral and they take it they must sell it for fair market value and pay you any money over and above the debt you owed.I have a suggestion if you and your husband are both disabled sell one of the vehicles and pay your bills. You don't need two anyhow if you are not working and the added insurance is just something more to burden you at this time.
