i have a 1997 cavalier with a 2.2.this pile when attempting to start wont do a thing.it has a brand new starter,new battery and when i turn the key,nothing.it has power to all but im thinking that the factory alarm has something to do wiyh it?it was disabled by the dealer about four years ago.no problems since this.any advice?

Reply to Marc's Post: yes.it just seems power is interupted by something not allowing starter to turn.its almost like the computer thinks the car is being hijacked or something.

If you have all the lights on the dash do they go off when you turn the key to start??
